I'm going to be buying around 100lbs of it and want to get an idea of what I'm getting. I know they are all big 7-10" pieces. Thanks

Erm, what do you mean? You said you were getting a 10" piece and you wanted to know what it'll weigh, but you also said you're getting 100 lbs...

I guess I could say you're probably getting somewhere between 8 and 11 pieces if I had to guess?

I'm thinking you really can only get around 11 to 14 pieces
you also said that you might be getting 7inchs.

if you had 10 different 10" pieces, theyd all weigh in differently. some will be denser than others. where others will be more porous. so its tough to even guesstimate the poundage.

When was the fiji harvested? The recent stuff is pretty much cement while the older stuff is nice and porous.

I would say you will b getting between 10-15 pieces depending on density.

The guy says it's been in a tank for a few years so hopefully it's some of the older stuff. The pieces vary between 7" to 10".

Just got the details on that rock: it's fiji base that he's had in the sump of a 155g tank. $1 lb and I can come over and pick thru it. He also has some premium to get the base going. I hear base rock is denser, should I get this stuff? I am so new to the whole LR thing. Thanks

I would guess you will be getting about 7-10 pieces with some rubble.
