Mine just hangs out....upside down from the MagFloat.

    "look mom - NO HANDS!"

Do sea cucumbers usually do this? I thought they basically hung out on the sand bed. This has been pretty amusing to watch this evening.

I gotta admit that i adore my inverts as much as i do my fish. And yes, I named him Dill.

    :)

My cucumber seems to double in size. I sometimes think he will soon out grow my 100 gal tank.

He started out about 2" and is now easily pushing 7" when extended. My mom thinks its the ugliest and most interesting thing in the tank. Too bad my corals don't grow like it does.

I just have the plain brown cucumber, they are not poisonous and are great cleaners. Odd little animals they crawl around eating dirty sand and excreting clean sand.

thank you! it was either Dill or Cuke Sandwalker.....i thought Dill was perfect :)

He is a bright yellow / with just a touch of chartreuse. I have no idea if this is a specific kind, but the color variations on sea cucumbers seems pretty vast to me.

He is continuing to do a lap around the tank glass. the fish swim close and look him over - i do not think they know what to make of the new arrival.

How big is your tank? It might be possible. my tank is a 29g BUT i have plans in the works for a 90 in the next few months.

The little guy is about 2 inches - he really is fascinating close up. Definitely adds some color, texture and variety.

If you get one, let us all know :)

Ok I will take a picture next chance I get. I have to warn you though he isn't a very attractive cucumber.
