What eats copepods?

    Other than tangs, what are good for getting rid of some copepods? They're crawling all over my sand bed and it's pretty disgusting.

    I'd like to stay away from Tangs if possible.

    blennies wil leat them . i imagine gobies and dwarf angels will too. pretty much anything that pecks away

    Anything that's bigger and faster than a pod will eat pods. :)

    If you have that many your tank needs a mandarin goby. Awesome fish.

    Absolutely not.


    If your goal is to get rid of the pods (which I can't understand why, I just started farming these! ;)) the mandarin will starve when it runs out of sufficient pods.

    Pretty much any fish that eats meat will eat these... they are very beneficial, eating detritus and being a food source for fish. My wrasse eats them a lot.

    But I would not get anything that depends on them for food (like a mandarin or scooter) unless you are actively adding them to the tank.
