What fish are best in frag tanks?

    thanks for all the input everyone.

    I'm not stuck on getting multiple fish, the less the better IMO. I don't want extremely attractive fish, but incredibly functional fish. My display is for displaying.

    If the foxface will eat more algae than the Yellow, it would be preferred. I have a magnificent in my display, he's quite the character.

    No one mentioned blue leg hermits? are people against these on clean up crews?

    I was thinking of getting about 20 cerith snails, and about 10 blue legged hermits, a lawnmower blenny, and possibly a sand sifting star.

    thoughts on conchs and cucumbers?

    Lojack, if you want less fish but more functionality, get a bristletooth tang such as a kole tang. Btooths are probably the best reef janiotor you can get and greedily eat any algae in the tank. I have never seen any other tang match what these guys can do.

    A striped bristletooth is a good one as well, especially seeing that they can get aggro, and as such are usually cheap.
