I haven't had an issue with fish dying. What I did have an issue with was a colony of brown caribbean polyps.....They just disolved..... That's about it though.

Don't ask why but clownfish. For the life of me, something seems to happen everytime I get one. Clam, corals, inverts all doing great but not the clowns. I've had one now for quite some time so hopefully my unlucky streak is over, knock on wood.

when my parents had major trouble in their tank and i had to nuke it...i put a pair of clowns in an unestablished 10 gallon tank and they lived in there for like 2 weeks(i put sum really nice pieces of liverock in there) it wasnt the most optimal thing but it worked...(yeah i was a terrible reefer back in the day lol)

diamond goby, and bengaii cardinalfish. i have no idea why but i cannot keep the cardinals!!! i think its because my foxface and powder brown steal all the food first. who knows. and the goby, i put him in one day and 24 hours later there were white bones. dont ask me how it happened.

The only fish I have had die on me was a Copperband Butterfly due to starvation also. My tank is only about 6 months old but I've never had issues with any other fish.
