I have a ballast going on the frits. It won't turn on when the rest of them do, but if i unplug it then replug it in, it will work. It does not have the same coloring as the other of the same model though, much dimmer.

I am currently running ARO 250W electronic ballasts.

I will not be using them again. Not when better brands can be had for 20 bucks more.

    Sooo. the questions are:

    What ballast do you run?

    Would you buy it again?

I have Icecaps, and they work fine, but I would buy lumateks if I had to replace them.

I also used m58 ballasts before I went to electronic ballasts,a nd still use ione now for the frag tank. Those work too, but not as much PAR as the IC.

coralvue 400W with 14k reeflux bulbs... definately a winning combo for me.

Im using the aro 175w ballasts with hamilton 10k right now. got both for $100 used. only ones Ive owned up to this point. I do plan on changing bulbs to iwaskai 15k or phoenix 14k down the road.

but If I was going to get new ballasts it would be the dimmable lumateks or icecaps.

Also if yuor ballasts arent over 3yrs old, you should be covered under hellolights warranty.

Icecap. Only a few months old so I don't have a long term report, but no problems so far.
