what happened?

    Yeah I tried, my buddy runs the local Tampa store and he dropped of the new one and thinks its not a problem with the bulb. I might try to send it to corallife and tell them I wont buy anymore. Especialy for the cash I lost. Cause my 265g tank is fine. So I am guessing not a power surge.

    That's too bad. But I assumed that any power surge would not effect the bulb but be absorbed by the ballast. But I don't really know

    Ok, so I switched an old bulb earlier to see if it would blow. It worked fine. So I just put my new bulb in and it made this loud buzzing noise while it was trying to fire and then it will go out. I dont get it, the older bulb works fine and the new one doesnt.
    Ok I went and put in the old one again and I didnt have the bulb set in right.
