Added a eggcrate to my C2C overflow- to keep large flying bolders out of the pipes.

I finally added a 'tub' of finely CC to my cheato section- it has about 3" CC in it so that more critters can find a home there.

    I also did a 25g WC.

Tested my alk before the WC- 9.5- yea!
I know it bumped up a bit 'cause I checked my WC water before adding it- it was at 13! I had dumped abunch of Kalwasser inadvertantly into it- long story- good thing is, everyone is fine.

I aslo went by my favorite lfs-
traded a bunch of Eagle Eye Zoas; big frag of Valydia; a frag of Blue Milli and a BN frag= in exchange I
was able to bet the largest BRS MgCl- $22; API Alk test kint-$9; and 4 hermits that I put in my sump.

I also move some corals around that were at WAR with each other.

Things are well at Todd's Reef :D

Well... as I stated in an earlier post. My 6 month old tank has a very slow leak....so this weekend, I swapped it out with a new one... as it turns out my 75 gallon ( birthday gift) was actually a 60 gallon... because of the volume of rock and the 28 gallon sump, I lost track of how much water went in.. the tank was long ( 4' the same as the 75) and tall.. just narrow...anyways I bought a 75 gallon to relplace it.. I painted the back of the tank prepped it and set it in the new stand on PVC rollers...Saturday, In an array of tubs and buckets I drained water into the tubs ( also refilled from my already made 55 gallon drum of 1.025) and removed the corals in a small plastic container one at a time to keep exposer to air minimal.. as I took down each tier of the reef I drained more water ... I was able to round up all the fish using my hand and the clear plastic container where they were put into a 30 gallon tub with some of the tank rock and covered for their comfort... I retained most of the gravel washing it in the last few inches of water in The tank scooping it with a plastic dust pan and draining the dirty water out of the back.. sand was retained in a 5 gallon bucket... I used a shop vac. to empty the last 5 gallons of dirty water... the old tank went out the front door as did it's stand.. the new tank rolled in on the rollers and set in place.. the water was pumped back via a 600 GPH utility pump ( jus tofr aquriums) and filtered through a 200 Mic sock filter as it went into the tank.. the entire process took my wife and I 7 hours from start to our toast with an adult beverage... I upgraded the lights by adding another 4' T-5 duel bulb strip and a 3' set of day/night LED's... inside the new cabinet, I added peg board to the back, 2 sets of adjustable shelves and wired a 4 gang outlet with a pilot switch for my power heads and heater for ease in feeding and maintenance .. with the pilot light they are sure to be turned back on.. I transferred my timers from the old cabinet.. I still need to tie wrap wires in place and neaten it up a bit tonight.. I have before and after pictures ... first the before.. then the new/after. Every one appears to be happy in their new environment.. I'm shocked my leathers didn't shed. The water was crystal clear once again before light out...this is before Tank update 5.JPG
