    Last night and today I,

-placed 4 nice new various sps frags a local gave me on my new frag area rack ;-).
-I started my gallon drip of RO/DI, vinegar and kalwasser into my high flow sump area.
-I zip tied one of my large colonies. It's a Valydia sps, and is a upside down cone shape the top of which is
5" across and the stem at the lower tip was about 5/8 diameter.
It had fallen down and broke the stem off about a week ago, so I ziptied it next to each other on the stem, and re-placed it back where it was.
    - I mixed a real potent kalwasser/RODI mix and used a 1ml syringe to stun/kill off a large glass anenome, and some areas of my encrusting gorgonean, and nuked an area I think was going to be a pulsing zenia I must have picked up a few cells of from a traders frag somewhere.- Glad I got rid of that!
    - of course re-placed some corals that had been excavated around by my fish.
    - set the WP's to feed mode and did my weekly feed of frozen food- Limpits Reef Buffet!- some of the best

wow Todd and Roccus - congrats on getting so many things done! Roccus - your tank looks completely awesome - love how crystal clear the water is. Todd - may I ask how much vinegar you add per gallon of kalk/RO/DI?

Sure, I kinda use one of the former guides posted, and basically use about a 3:1 ratio of whatever Kalc you are using a day.
I mix up a presiously used 1g plastic vinegar jug, rill it most way with RO/DI- add about 60ml of vinegar and about 20-25ml/CC Kalwasser, cap it- give it a few shakes, place on this thin board over the waterfall between my skimmer area and the fuge, and let it drip/run in thru a thin IV tubing line.- I've heard of people using the slightly larger 1/4 O.D. air line and tying a loose know in it to restrict some flow.
This method, along with about a 20% monthly WC has kept my levels real steady and good.
I"d start with less than I use and titrate up as needed.

I tinker anywhere from 10min to an hour a day usually, and enjoy observing it the rest of the time

New tank looks great! In the After picture there, what fish is basically right in the middle of the tank? Purplish, yellowish tail.

I installed a 2' florescent light inside my new tank stand ..no more fumbling with a flash light to find food, tools or check my light timers...
I ran water tests for the first time since the swap..happily it seems to be business as usual.. the parameters are right where I left them...I was fearing a possible ammonia spike but it would appear that my precautions paid off as my ammonia and Nitrite remain at 0... my NitrAte around 5ppm..normal for my tank..

she was about 1.5" 5 months ago.. she's close to double that now... as much as a bully as she can be ( mostly if someone enters her cave or tries to steal her food) .. she stays clear of my Mandarin.... who has pecked her in the head on several occasions...

Last night, a friend helped me with some electrical!
Added 2 GFCI outlets, each tied to a separate 15 amp breaker.

Had to get creative here... Luckily my friend knew a lot more about electrical than I did!
However, the top switch of the top split breaker is for the left outlet, the top switch of the bottom breaker is for the right outlet.

Now I can mount my apex and energy bars in the closet and get rid of the wiretopus that is times and power strips galore!!
Oh wait, I need to figure out how to setup an Apex...
