because.. My tank lighting is moderate... the front lights consist of 2 t-5 strips.... the rear one is a 4' 2 bulb stip with a LED strip behind that... I can change the bulbs on that left side if need be to accommodate what I want to put there and move other corals to suite their needs... that corner has the least direct light and the flow is best for that particular coral.. if for any reason I feel that the light or lack of light is more important then the flow, I can change a bulb or I'll move it to one of the caves.. but IMHO.. that is the best location for the animal... and I'll monitor it each day... thank you for your concern...FWIW.. it has been living for the past month at the top of a live rock tower under MH lighting.. and is no worse for the wear...

Wow its been a while but here is the latest on my tank.

First I took the zeovit reactors offline. It became to much of a hassle to pump them. So now I only dose KZ Amino Acids, sponge Power and Coral Vitalizer(a different one each day). Then in September I took the calcium reactoroffline as it wasn't keeping my parametiers in check so I have converted to dosing Kalk in my ATO and my parameters have been Stable ever since. I mix 1/2 Cup of vinegar and 9 teaspoons of Kalk to 5 gallons of RO/DI. I also use a 30 gallon tank with a Tunze as my top off.

Also I revamped my frag rack and added new frags and colonies. Oh I also went from weekly 40 gallon water changes to biweekly. Saves on salt and keeps my tank a little dirty but within reason.

Sorry to bomb you all at once.

Did my 4 month sump and pump cleaning on both of my tanks. Normally I don't do both in the same day but I did this time. I started at noon and I'm done now at 11:40pm. It's amazing how much detritus can pile up in a matter of months. My pumps are flowing better and all inhabitants are looking at me as to say "about time"!!

As the OP of this thread, I hereby grant authority- that this DOES technically qualify as
"doing something to your set up" !

    ;)
