First. Read this entire thread today.... Todd great idea you had! Great way for someone like me to learn.

Picked up a Blue Tang and 2 Cardinals yesterday. All seem happy and eating like pigs. The tang is running the glass eating all the pods on it and excepts both pellets and frozen mysis.

Brine shrimp hatched today and added some to the tank today and they were eagerly accepted. Haven't done a water change since the tank was started mid Nov. so it's time I do that.

I cleaned my sump room up, organized some extra plumbing parts, pulled out some wood to see what I had so I can start building a 34 Cube stand for the wifes tank. Oh yeah, did a 30 Gallon water change, tweaked the system and rearranged some corals.

changed one of my ATO float switches (it was sticking), did a 10% water change and major algae scrubbing. Also fixed my internet connection for my APEX - which for some reason went down this week - the DHCP setting changed to off randomly...One of the few good things about cold weather is it gives me time to focus on my tank :)

Ok, not technically today, but yesterday I added a feather duster and an Aussie Hammer in the 60 cube. Over the past week i did a modified Todd Mod on my WP25, sanded and prepped for staining the stand for my 220 build and received the bulkheads for the coast to coast/bean animal. Also ran an additional electric line specifically for the build which will be on its own circuit with a GFI. If all goes will, this week will bring staining, drilling and plumbing on the 220 project. Still scouring Craigslist for a skimmer for the build.

Noticed white spots on my blue tang yesterday and decided on a trip to LFS for some meds. This morning the tang looks fantastic, no white spots and eating great. Cleaned socks, fed some pellets and found my long lost (4 days) sexy shrimp.
Wondered why one of my narcissus snails is at the bottom of an overflow. Why would it climb 36 inches up and then back down the inside. Bigger question is how do i get him back out. Stand pipes make it to tight to get anything down in there, it might live there for awhile.

Reread Reefbuilder's "Rebuilding the Sump Room" thread and worked on the final specs for my saltwater station and ATO setup. Getting close.
Any idea how big of an external pump I'd need to circulate the saltwater for 15 minutes at a time in a 40g?
Just sat and watched the relationship one chromis and the blue tang have created. They hunt and feed together. They have become best of friends. Funny!

You would not need that big of a pump to churn water. I have an adjustable blow hole 4 sale if your interested. It would be fine for a mixing station.

Finally put the fasteners I had bought long ago on the upper edge of the Maple Ply I'm using to cover my stand with.

Now no more leaning the 6 rectsangular panels up against the stand, and hoping no one would bump one and send it falling. They're finally flush with the stand.

Now when it warms up again, I'll sand and stain them.
For now- it's Maple- all natural baby!

Just put on the first coat of stain on the stand for the 220. Received my glass hole saw in the mail today so i can get to work on plumbing the tank. Finally feel like I am making some progress!
