Thats looking awesome surf rider! Thats an exciting time in the life of a tank! So much hope and anticipation! So I'm not sure if this actually counts for the thread, but I just sold my extra 220 tank to a great guy at a fair price. Now i get to spend it on a skimmer and rock for the current build! A win for everyone involved!

Getting rid of some fish and making the 125 reef safe because I might make that my new reef tank. Me and the wife have a little one one the way so I have to figure out if keeping 2 tanks is gonna be too much. Lots of excitement for the new year.

I can't win. I was worn out and passed out directly after putting my last piece of LR back in the tank last night. Fired up all the pumps and fell asleep. I woke up to a sand storm in my tank. I never thought my RW-20's would default back to 100% power after being turned off. All my sand is blown back up under the rocks again. SMDH

congrats on getting all of that done cbs! I have to think the sand blown won't impact you too much - after getting all of that done, tank should look awesome!!

CONGRATULATIONS dsc and wife! how exciting is that??!! is this new news?? when is the baby due? I think your idea of consolidating is a good one especially given how meticulous you are in your husbandry :)

Congrats DSC. Always good to add a new reefer to the group! I spent the day yesterday chasing craigslist adds and acquired 200 LBS of fiji rock and a reef octopus SRO 5000, less than a year old. I also delivered an old 90 gal tank to a guy I met friday who has the same cancer as my son. I was not using it so i figured that he and his young son can have project to work on while he is out of work getting treatment. Anyway, it was a great reefing day even though I hardly touched my tank. I met some fantastic reefers on the way who I will continue to stay in touch with. The guy who i bought the skimmer from even threw in a few frags from his tank just to add a little joy! I continue to be amazed at the people I meet in this hobby and how they go out of their way to help others that don't even know. I'll stop now that I'm gushing but needless to say, I'm energized to continue my build and share with others.
