Dienerman I paid it forward and gave a kid about 100lbs of LR for free yesterday. After cleaning my tank and re arranging I left about 100lbs out so decided to give it away. I've been hooked up countless times in this hobby. Felt good to help someone else out.

Scrubbing & 125gal water change complete. You can see in pic the issue I have with my RW-20's moving my sand everywhere. I'm not happy with my landscape either at the moment, but good enough for now.

Thats a huge water change! What type of light is that over your tank? It looks fantastic!

I am sorry to hear about your son and wish you the best in recovery. I started the thread "what have you done for your fellow reefer" today based on this post and others.

It's a Marineland Reef capable led. Although I don't think it's nearly enough power to support coral growth. It worked great for my tank when it was FOWLR, but now I'm going mixed reef so I'm going to be upgrading soon.

I siphoned detritus and ~52g form my sump and did a water change.

I cleaned the rack in my frag area in the sump,

And caught my Coral Beaty Angel from the sump where he had been flushed down my overflow from DT to basement. I was able to catch/net him when I removed things from the area of the sump he was in during the WC. He/she's back in the Display now!
    * I did install a grate on the 72" of my overflow to keep it from happening again already after his 'ride'.

    Today I Kneaded/Pulled my chaeto- what a detritus/pod storm!
So I quickly put a filter sock over the RP intake to catch alot of it.

I remounted 7 corals in my frag area.

I took my DIY Razor scraper I made from a plastic toy golf club handle and touched up my DT, and some areas in my sump.

All this in preparation for the party I'm hosting this Saturday 1/24/15 at my place
for the Wisconsin Reef Society. (no- there's no secret handshake)
at least 50 guests total including spouses, families, etc.

I polyurethaned my stand for the 220 and am about to clean the skimmer and do a water change in the 60 cube.
