I've got 180 gallons of sump in the basement, so I'm good there.

Went to the CMAS swap in Chicago yesterday. Lots of good vendors, got to talk to Jason Fox, really nice guy. My son got this from him:

Picked up a few little acro frags for myself, and a little red Setosa.

Went to the WRS meeting afterwards to check out a 1,400 gallon reef tank. Long fishy day.

Awesome, What the Hey is that in that pick? Almost looks like a clam, but I know it's not. Some guy called me about picking up some free Chaeto, said he was referred by you.

He woke me up, so I asked him alot of questions, and when I heard you referred, etc. (I did put a post up on WRS, and have given away a LOT of Chaeto, mushrooms, kenya trees, etc.) I thought I asked him to call and come by this weekend, haven't heard from him yet. Just gave away a gallon bag full of chaeto, a fes mushrooms, and a frag of kenya tree to a Liz.

I hope he calls, happy to give even more away, mainly 'cause it grows back! And rather quick.

    Today, I spent some time:

cleaning my PS, and replacing the air venturi intake 'cause the other one was clogged alot, and making my cup overflow, even on low settings.
So it gave me a chance to clean it out, clean the pin wheel on the motor, etc.

Then I put some things in my sump to raise the container that houses my sump.

Then I re-fragged some sps, and everyone is happy.

I'm sititng in my recliner watching my DISPLAY tank

Cleaned out my sump and skimmer for the first time today. Not even sure they needed it but they look great now! My main tank is still going through its ugly Algae stage so i left it alone for the snails, hermits, and emerald to feast on.

Did a WC last night in all my tanks and spent a little fortune on D batteries for the bat. operated air pumps I plan on using during the storm that's headed my way.

It's a Leptoseris. First one I've seen in person.

It think the person got some chaeto from Mike B.

Don't think I did anything new with the tank, but I've been trying to spend more time on the operations of the sump, and it's starting to show in the growth and color of all of the corals. Especially all of the new sticks. I've haven't had many up until now, but they are doing surprisingly well!

I noticed my SG had dropped to about 1.023, so I did a 25 g water change, bringing the SG back up some.
To do this WC, my sump is about 3 ft off the floor, so I can, and did siphion any debris to my waste water bucket, which keeps the floor of my sump clean. It's BB, with a huge chaeto area.

I also remounted my Birds of Paradise SPS to a larger rock frag- tired of it falling over

And I turned my PS around in it's compartment in my sump.

I also re-arranged some of my rock on my CC sand bed.

all this make my water slightly cloudy, so I put a filter sock on for a while- I now only usually use a mesh bag, and no more filter bag/socks.

Things are still excellent in my DT, knocking on wood. No crashes- yet, knocking on wood.

I siphoned out all the water, removed all live rock, and the remaining 2 fish went to my 40b. Tonight the 210 leaves my house and will become a centerpiece in a local church. Goodbye to my reef...

So, for now, I will put down my LEDs and t5s and join the dark side of reefing... NPS here I come!!!

Bought a new Mag test kit from Best Fish. My wife wanted me to buy a Clown Trigger and a Porcupine Puffer. I said no. Began switching vodka over to vinegar. (Thanks Mr. Wright). Started the chaeto on a 24 hour light cycle, but with two balls. One goes under the light while the other one rests, then they get switched every day.
