I drilled a hole in my sump and rearranged some equipment. Also modified my rollermat filter for a more constant flow.

Agreed..... So I worked on my new canopy today. Got it stained. Tomorrow I put on the hinges and hang my new 48" Acan 800 series and Sat am my buddy is going to help me lift it on.

Yes - I stained it with the lights on! ;)

Girls like platinum earrings; I prefer Platinum Clowns! Treated myself to this young pair today. I just had a third of my lower lip removed/surgically repaired from skin cancer, so I'll be stuck indoors for at least a month. I might as well have something new to look at right?

PHewwww what a day. I've been cooped up since last Thursday and am stuck in my house for another week due to having to get skin cancer removed off my lower lip.. I was going stir crazy, so I decided to do a little sump maintenance. I ended up removing EVERYTHING from my DIY sump and wet vacuum all the detritus out, cleaned and took apart my return, skimmer, and UV pumps as well. While I was at my LFS getting some supplies a customer was in and was breaking down his 220 and was rather pissed off about it. He heard me talking about ordering Mars aqua LED's off Ebay and he offered me a deal on his two Reef Breeder Photon 32's that are 5-6 months old, which was an offer I couldn't refuse. I have to pay him in two separate payments since Mohs surgery for my skin cancer broke my bank. They will be up and running in about two weeks. I hope these LED's are good, I haven't even looked them up yet. The few people in the store told me to jump on the deal so I did. Attached is photo of my clean DIY rubbermaid sump bottom and what I look like running arouind town! Sorry for the long winded reply, like I said I have cabin fever and also can't talk.

Thanks Chris, Not to get on my soapbox, BUT for any of you that are out in the sun like I am go and get checked. This started out to be what looked like a cold sore on my lower lip. I've never had a cold sore in my life. My GP (Dr.) told me to take abreva and it would go away. Months later it was still there so I decided on my own to go to a Dermatologist. Turns out it is invasive squamous cell carcinoma. Only procedure option was Mohs surgery. It was a royal pain in the A-------, took almost five hours and I was awake during the entire thing. NOT FUN and I'm now missing a third of my lower lip, which will heal in about four weeks. I guess this fits in the What have you done to your set up if the set up is my body ;)

sorry to hear all that CB, I hope your recovery is quick and painless. When they took my spleen in October they discovered I had sclerosis of the liver (not from drinking). Severe pain had kept me away from my store for almost 6 months (I made the customers uncomfortable). I still don't make it in all day but at least I'm getting out and about finally. Thankfully the family was there to help out with the store or I would of lost it all. A week ago I was told my pancreas is bad and now I'm scheduling appointments for that. BUT... I'm upright and walking and able to get things done on the tank that if I was well I wouldn't be around to do.

    Heal quickly m'friend!
