What have you done to your set up today?

just getting planning done on what I'm going to do to get ready for our vacation and leaving my tank

Will be calling our friend tonight about the dimensions of the tank I'm going to order and hopefully he can start the stand and sump build for me.

Update - just ordered the tank! yay! It's the 65 gallon wide that I was looking at the other night and that Marshall helped me find through his thread posting.

 

New toys?

 

Toys that I hope I can figure out ...I still don't have the whole sump thing figured out yet but our friend knows what he's doing. Ok, should I have a refugium in the sump as well? Not trying to derail the thread.

Now, I guess I need to look at new pumps and a new skimmer - thought I had spent all my money on big ticket items already LOL

 

FWIW, my DIY sump has a seperate chamber to keep the skimmer in constant height water
Then it goes to a huge mass of Chaeto,
I do have an MJ pumping to a UV filter- then to my DIY phosguard reactor-
Then to the area of the RP

So I'm kinda calling my Chaeto area my fuge.

NO LR or rubble, it's all in my DT.

There's probably a million ways to do it

 

I think that's all I need is some chaeto. So you have 3 compartments?

Drained my QT into another container, to start leek repairs.

Tested ammonia lvls 3.00 QT/1.50 DT.

 

25 gallon water change and moved some rocks around that keep falling. I wish I could get them to stay put gosh darn it!

 

I just finished sealing my QT and now waiting for it to cure.
I also cleaned the streaks off of my DT glass today.

I am staring at it and wishing for some fishes. lol

 

Ammonia is a good thing!
