I know the feeling. My fish are all in QT, all 3 of them. I'm running out of patience.

Thank you for checking OFK, this is definitely not an easy period on my reef, so your support is very helpful. Just posted an update on my sick fish forum. It's been so busy otherwise. In addition to fighting the parasite, I've also managed to break the shaft in my main pump - I was using it to get a stuck bushing out. Warning, those shafts are fragile! Anyway, had to order another one and use a shaft from a different pump for a while, that wasn't a good fit but had the water moving. Just installed the new one, so that's good.
The new sump you're getting sounds fun! In addition to what Todd wrote, my fuge is similar in set up, although very small - the water from DT runs through skimmer and sometimes bio sock, then Chaeto and back into the tank. Chaeto seems to be fine with that, especially now that I've added more light. The nitrates are at absolute 0.

Did some final cleanings, and left them in the hands of my sister for the next week :/ 5 tanks, about 375 gallons total, $1,000 in fish and several hundred in corals.

    Yes, I am nervous!

Today I checked my salinity and adjusted it in both tanks. I also mixed the water between both tanks to try and get them close to each other. I hope I did not mess with the cycle any.

Did a 25% water change yesterday, added pellets and cleaned reactor, cleaned skimmer, put in new carbon/phosguard and cleaned off lights (had some salt creep build up).

Still trying to decide if I should turn off skimmer and biopellets during our vacation (have a house sitter) coming. I'm learning toward keeping the skimmer running dry and pellets going.
