What have you done to your set up today?

Did 100 gallon water change, moved my tangs 5 hours by road and popped them into their new home, they hid straight away, but this morning they are out looking for some breakfast.

 

I hooked up.my 4x36 watt t-5s again. They will now come on with my non dimming leds. Not much difference but u can tell. I plan to swap the coral waves with actinics.

 

Because my calcium was not TOO high, and I want it to stay there.
My coral load is dropping the ca/alk etc., so I want it to stay more constant.

Your numbers were not TOO high IMO, just upper range.

Why do I feel exhausted every time scuba ken posts?

 

Completed my morning dosing ritual (dripping calc, hand adding Mg & water), daily empty of skimmer cup (which has been pulling darker skim since I've been adding vinegar to the Calc drip), and am now watching my DT under the blue leds.

Constantly contemplating my 180 build, how I'll rearrange my basement sump system and adding a 40b frag tank to the mix, etc.
Also about adding some coarse sand, vs. using the CC I already have in a bucket, and what's in the DT now, etc.

Too much to think about.

Starting the stand base build tomorrow from the lumber I already have cut up.

Made my own ATO/doser for under $10, see the picture below. Now the question is, can I mix Alk and Mag with fresh water and slowly drip this concussion into my tank...

 

Nice.

You can mix the dosing into it, but it may clog the valve you're dripping with. An easy fix however- you unclog it and keep going.

I have seperate DIY ATO and DIY drip doser, using an IV drip line I got from work, tha has a slided on the outside of the tubing.
