Traded a speckled rose BTA that split for a fist sized sun coral and a pale green flower anemone on a rock that had two nuclear green morph palys on it. Fragged a head of sun coral, glued over an aiptasia that was on the flower anemone rock, cleaned out my Eshopps nano skimmer, cleaned out the maxijett 1200 in the back of my biocube, and rearranged the powerheads in order to give the sun coral enough flow.

Pretty happy with that trade, got about 50 heads of sun coral. Sitting here trying to decide if I should frag one of my gorgs.

    Hi everybody, the OP here.

Thanks to everybody for keeping this thread alive, as I envisioned it would, without any nasty hyperbole, rude comments, etc.

    It's a fun quick read isn't it?

Lot's of great ideas and techniques in this one thread.

    Thanks, and keep on reefing!

    it's a great thread!

Today I finally decided to set up my ATO to the Apex after the relay started fluttering on me using my old setup. Figured out that the Min Time xxx:xx Then OFF means it inhibits all ATO functions until the time runs out leaving the pump off after the full up and disregarding switch positions. Useful with sloshing water. It doesn't mean it will run the pump for xx amount of min then turn it off. lol. I had confusion with that program line. Hope this helps someone setting up ATO on the Apex.

I checked my big 3 parameters- awesome,
    and observed my DT!

Ever since I switched to Kent Salt, I'm dosing WAY less, and my params still stay better than on the Coral LIfe Marine salt.

Last night was the first time I spot fed some of my corals. I moved a terrible looking trumpet from my sump back to the DT since the other corals are looking better and better, even the trumpet. I am also excited as a schoolgirl that my PE is still coming around since I got rid of the bicolor angel!

Thanks! I've been beating myself up these past few months over this. I know it's not the best it could be, but it's better!
