Haha I know! I turn the news on and the rest of the country is getting worked. It was in the 80's here today, didn't even need a wetsuit! It really doesn't feel like December or Christmas for that matter. I was sweating putting up my lights the other day.

Back on track. I put a nitrate reducing filter pad in my drain basket in my sump. Do these things work? I had a spike from the move I guess, but just did a water change on the 5th. Figured this would hold me over til this Thursday. Or should I do another water change before then? The one I did the other day was 10gal

I wasn't sure if doing another so soon would be as productive? I'll do one tomorrow. It's a 75g should I pull another 10g or do more?

    I fed the fish ;D

Justin (AKA =Jwin=) was more productive. He did a tap water test to make sure the sump was leak free and also painted one side of the new tank background.

You can do up to half without any real issues if the tank is already cycled and just having a spike. Do a 10g change, wait an hour and test it. If its still high you can do another change.

Just did another 10gal change.. I have a API test kit (I'm sure there's better) and my nitrates are teetering between 40-80ppm. We'll see what it looks like now that I pulled another 10g out. Also took the broken axial fans out of my fixture and going to replace them today.
