What have you done to your set up today?

I don't know what the black stuff could be but if you have xenia growing well, you can rest assured it will definitely come back

 

^^ Santa blessed me with the end of my diatom bloom, and the black web looking stuff seems to be at bay this am. Xenia is back out doing its thing too!

 

30 Gallons. I fill it up every week.

 

Today I tried the marine grazer I got for Xmas. I don't think my fish touched it.. :sick3:

 

i ordered led's for my stock biocube, also ordered an intank media basket

 

I shook my head as I read more about how to do what I want to do.... and spent more money.... One day it will be more than a glass box with blue lights!

I changed out the filter pads in my sump and cleaned the skimmer. Also started fiddling with the aquascape and boy, that does become a big task once you get going lol. I got a piece of sps and had to aquascape just for its comfort and it's a tiny 15 dollar frag. I finally had to quit and check it out with a fresh eye tomorrow. Still haven't found the wrasse

Oh, and ate way too many buckeye balls while scaping.

 

I had one of my most exciting days since I first put water in the tank, I installed my new Apex controller. My wife and in-laws bought it for me for Christmas. So far it's not doing anything more than a standard power strip. Tomorrow I will calibrate the PH probe and get some programming taken care of. WOO-HOO!

 

Fed my sun coral.

Big water change, noticed some flecks of cyano and the beginnings of gha. I had to take a break from water changes for a week and a half but kept feeding my corals/anemones anyway. sun coral (~50 heads) and anemones (RBTA, Flower, and maxi-mini) alone go through a cube of Mysis and a cube of squid lol, not to mention my 3 gorgonia or Royal gramma.

Gonna go pick up a Hydor Smartwave tomorrow if I can, thinking about adding another powerhead. ~10 gallons with 875 total gph. i'll probably add another koralia nano 425

 

I still have this black cobweb looking crap all over my tank. I cleaned out alot of it yesterday and it's back as of this am. It's completely taken over my little kenya tree.. I'm headed into my LFS to see what the hell I can do about whatever it is.
