Today I perfomed one of my bucketless/no lifting WC's by having my RO/DI in my mixing bin and mixed with some extra kalwasser, Mg, Ca, and Borax.
I put a filter sock on the return to the sump, and
After siphoning my sump detritus to my floor drain, I used my Mag 3 tro pump from the bin to the sump- all while the system is running.

I also rinsed the media bags of GAC and PhosGuard in my return.

I also used some RO on a paper towel and cleaned the lens cover and fans and cases for my LED's.

Just sitting here on my reclining love seat enjohying viewing my DT as I type this.

As all seems well in my DT- Reef on fellow reefers!

Everyone has to believe in something-

I believe I'll have another beer.

A little over a month and a half into the cycle. Longer than I expected, but nothing comes fast in this hobby :)

Man Cam, it does seem like a long time for your cycle :) You know patience can only pay off!

Cleaned the front and side glass
    replaced/moved some coral
fragged my tyree monti flower for a reefer friend that asked for a piece

Sat and stared at my DT

do you have gobies in your tank? And if you do, how do they manage with the CC? I'm thinking of using CC for my build currently and trying to weigh out the pros and cons.

I know you asked Todd, but I'll rudely chime in :) I have a pink spotted goby and pistol shrimp and my substrate is a medium aragonite with some crushed coral - it's only about 1 inch thick and my goby does fine. I don't believe the type I have is a sand sifter though.....

I see my goby grab a mouthful of sand here and there. he doesn't stir up the sand or anything like that. That's my concern is with sifting inhabitants. I have a pistol shrimp but I've seen those guys carry rocks lol. So I don't think that will be an issue with him.

On the tank I have now I have a Fluorescent Full Hood that I removed all the stuff inside for the old fluorescent tubing. I cut 2 1/2" squares on opposite corners on top of hood. I added 2 USB powered computer fans in each of the square.

I bought a USB powered desk fan that measures about 6" tall and about 5" wide and glued it on top of a plexiglass that measured 4"x4". I drilled about 9-10 holes in a circular way directly centered in the middle of the back of the hood.

Connected all these to a USB hub which plugged into a acdc plug connected to a timer. Now when my LED lights turn on I also set the fans to turn on/off when the LED lights do.

I do notice a difference in controlling the temp. on the LED lights which also keeps the tank a little cooler.

    Thanks OFK,

As She said, my blue spotted watchmen goby does just fine with my CC.
I'm not sure if he's a 'sifting goby' though.
    Evolved is the goby expert, maybe he'll chime in.;
