Cleaned up wiring under the tank and reprogrammed the light schedule. Also added two tunze 6105's and a 7092 controller. Cleaned the sump and changed filters.

20% water change - ugh! but glad it's done! getting tank ready for our vacation departure - scrubbed off some rocks and added some peroxide to some tufts of algae - also used the wet vac to siphon out the bottom of my sump - hadn't cleaned that area since I started it - way overdue.

No, just upgrading my sump on the reef tank. I got a good deal on all the other stuff.

Well... I was going to post about the to do list I'm about to tackle, but it took me half the day to find this thread!!!
Just bought plywood, and paint to complete enclosing my stand. Bought a new/used Marineland 48"LED yesterday and bought some small jack chain today to get it hung from my ceiling above my tank. Hopefully most of this will be completed today. I plan to hang my LED's while the paint is drying on the plywood. Here We GO!! I'll post up some pics this eve. Matt when can I expect you in Fl. to train me on the new forum?!!

LED's are somewhat hung. My question is how high should they be hung above my tank. They are at 9.5" now, but I think they need to be lowered? LED1.jpg Anyone shorter than me is going to get blinded if they look at them. My tank is FOWLR if that matters in the overall height.

Are they turned up all the way?
9.5 inches is a pretty decent height to have them.
Too much lower and you'll loose a lot of the spread .
