My warner marine e skimmer has been rattling lately so tonight I took
It apart and found that the center rod that holds the diffuser came unglued. It has done this a couple times now. Otherwise practically the best skimmer I've owned. But I cleaned it up, roughed the surface and applied e 6000 glue. You know it is strong and toxic glue when it has a number in the thousands. :cheesy:

While that is drying, I pulled my cad lights skimmer out of the garage. It
Is nice to have an extra skimmer around I have found. Of course I had to pull each skimmer out of the sump at least 2 or 3 times. I am going to veg and pass put now. That was awesome. Good night!

It was a busy weekend for my and my DT, as planned I pulled off the completer transfer of my 125Reef, to my new 180 reef, with the 125 moved to the basement as my sump!
With a little help from my friends- all went well!

There is a thread on it, I'll only post 3 pics here now.
My 180 on it's 3rd day, my DIY C2C overflow, and my 125 as my sump

I've still got a lot to do, tweaking,
siphoning detritus from the sump and adding new SW,
putting a painted vinyl back on the tank,
and getting around to paint the canopy frame
and finishing and staining all the Maple cover boards for the outer surface of the stand and canopy, etc.

And then to not meander from the topic, I did an overdue 20 gal water change last night.

My return pump was making loud noises all night so I took it out and ran it in a bucket of vinegar for about an hour this am. Seems to be working fine again. Think I'm going to get a new one next week just in case it's about to go. Topped off the sump as well.

I noticed my SG dropped a little, so I added some SW to my sump, and it will bring up the SG with evaporation bhy keeping my DIY ATO from adding RO/DI till the level gets back to where it was.

I've been a little busy with work, and also with my new(er) system, placing a few more corals just right, and enjoying the show. I sit and watch my DT whenever I can.

My DT and me are really liking the fact that my transfer added nearly 100% WC by the time it was done, and that although I really didn't add much coral or fish at all, (I did get a Dejardini Tang!, who gets along with my Blue and Yellow,) I at least doubled my total water volume.

    A more recent FTS:

Super glued the C clamp to the magnetic base. All the clips are either worn out or broken, so I was tired of putzin with it. It was a freebie, so I can kinda understand why the 3/16" long clips didn't hold up over the years
