Got back in town from a 2 day camping trip.
Re-placed a few pieces of plating monti that had fallen,
    Mag floated the glass,
paused my RP and feed the fish,
Checked the SG- spot on 35= 1.0265ish

image.jpg Putzing with the calcium reactor. I added an Aqualifter as a feed pump. I'm considering a variable speed peristalic pump to get control over the flow through it. Cleaned the glass and stared at corals to make them grow.

Morning routine.... shut off the power heads ( one switch kills both of them)... feed the fish ( in the dark) live brine shrimp...my reasoning... they wont pollute the tank before the fish find them because the lights will be out for a few more hours... go down stairs to the sump/refugium and kill the pump for the skimmer and display return pump... wash the skimmer cup ( while the display drains) then rinse the filter sock...( sure is handy having a sink in the basement).. replace sock and skimmer cup... fire up the "filters" ... once the flow starts and establishes the level, top off with 1/2 gallon of R/O/D/I water( I have a ATO but rarely use it).. go upstairs and turn on the power heads...the entire process takes less than 15 minutes...

Did my daily routine of filling a gallon jug of RO/DI for my Kalk drip.
It that jug I put 60ml of vinegar and about 25ml of BRS's Kalwasser.
Then I set it on a little shelf over my sump.
I use an actual hospital grade IV dripper and I manually start the siphon,
and drip it over about 3-4 hrs into the fast moving flow coming out of my Skimmer area to my chaeto area to my sump.

My gravity powered DIY- ATO always works flawlessly- my SG stays spot on.
My daily drip routine, including the time my RO/DI takes to fill the gallon jug (my ro/di has a 3g tank for the RO drinking water tap on my kitchen sink)-
    5 minutes

Here's a picture of the jug, tubing and it's dripping in this photo

Yes, this is my old DT- now reused/repurposed as my sump! Yep, that sucker is 6 feet long
You can see my ATO above left, hooked stright to my RO/DI as well. No filling anything, I do have a JG valve on each line, and do leave it off and refill with the turn of a valve from time to time.
