Hi everyone I recently purchased a cadlights 39g pro series tank with a 12 gallon sump. I need to purchase a heater a would really appreciate some suggestions. I do not mind spending a little extra if the benefits of going with a inline heater are worth it.

A couple months ago i was having issues with my heater and was recommended the Eheim Ebo Jagar Heater. I LOVE it! Havent had a prob what so ever and does an awesome job esp cause it gets super cold here in winter and hot in the summer.

Depending on where you live, you may not need one. I live in the Deep South (GA) and I dont run heaters in my tanks. In fact, with the heat from the lights, and the high summer temps, I have more trouble keeping the tank cool. That being said, I have heard that you want to get a heater that is titanium, with an external controler. Not a glass or plastic one with a controller in the tank...if that makes sense.

I had Eheim Ebo Jagar Heater and really like it, never had an issue and now I went with a 400 watt Hydro, Theo Submersible Heater (it was cheaper than the Ebo) so I picked that up. Unfortunately, I do not have my tank up in runnin yet so I cant comment/compare it to the Ebo I used to have .

I have a Eheim Ebo Jagar 50w in a 10g AWESOME! A Hydro, Theo Submersible Heater 150w in a 29g, gets the job done but not that impressed.
