    stock pump..for now
    koralia 550 gph
via aqua quartz heater 200 w
    nano glo refuge light
intank media baskets...with filter floss on top, foam in middle, and chemi pure elite in the bottom...and the other half is the fuge for the chaeto
one digital timer..so far going to need more..what timers works best for you?
    pro therm digital thermometer
10,000k day light, actinic blues and lunar blue leds
    saltwater master test kit
biospira to start the tank with
oceans blend ..calcium part 1 and ph/alkalinity part 2

any advice, tips, ideas? im new to all this and learning alot! also should the lunar leds be on a timer? and for how long?....should i have the lights on during cycling? ive heard alot of different stuff about the fuge lights, like leave them on all the time, and to only have them on when the tank lights are off..does it matter? other than that i think im about ready for the live sand, live rock and water...thank you and sorry for all the questions,,just want to make sure i have it right before i get started :)

    Welcome to 3reef.

Personally I leave the lights on a regular lighting schedule when cycling. I put them on a timer. If you use RO/DI water you should not have an intense initial algae bloom. I do not put my LED nights on a timer, but you can, I would only leave them on 4 hours to allow for normal diurnal patterns for fish and inverts.

You can put your fuge light on a reverse lighting schedule, this will help to stabilize your pH.
