As long as you're planning on trading them out before they reach adult sizes except the eel maybe. You will need to have a good system for removing nitrates though, these fish all eat a lot from what I know. If you're up for a challenge you could try it.

I would do a little research on how fast they grow, I'm not familiar with them but their adults sizes are far too big for a 55g. When they reach adult sizes they could almost reach from one end of your tank to the other nose to tail. That's going to get crowded quick.

I wouldn't do it personally with things crowded with a lion in there you're asking for lots of runins with spines at the very least. Don't be so quick to dismiss width as important as well IMO, fish need to be able to turn around comfortably, if they have to stop and do a 180 at the end of the tank I think they may start to feel confined as they get bigger.

im not trying ot be mean, but if youre not farmiliar with them, then why would you say they would be too big. i understand what youre saying but the picasso is smaller than the undulated trigger and it needs a bigger tank. idk why but it does. so i think it would be fine in a 55. LA says Radiatta needs a 30 gal, it gets 10 inches like the dwarfs, so i think they need at least a 55. the snowflake doesnt take up much room as it hides in the rocks. the undulated, well im still not too sure about that one either. again, im not trting to be mean, so please dont take it that way.

i like water changes acutally. i need an RO system before i even attempt this though. a skimmer will be one of the next things i get after the RO system. i may get one fish before i get the skimmer though.

I'm not taking it as mean, understandable that you would question it. You asked for opinions and I gave you mine and I'm fine with you questioning that. Hopefully you don't take offense to me offering my thoughts and understanding of tank stocking and trying to understand the "why" behind stocking tanks. :)

You're talking about 4 very large fish. If you've seen an adult trigger in real life they are VERY chunky fish and at 10" long that's probably a fish that weighs a lot and needs a lot of food to maintain that weight. These are just general concepts and guidelines of stocking a tank which is why I feel like my opinion has some bearing and why I'm offering it.

The size of tank that you're looking at is literally the minimum for these fish. When you put at least 3 fish that are all in the minimum size recommended you may end yup overstocked and end up with crowding. This of course depends on the fish and it's tankmates. It doesn't always work out putting the same number of fish whose recommended minimum tank sizes are just barely what you're able to provide. It's very different putting 3 anthias whose minimum tank recommendation on a lot of sites is maybe 75g and 3 triggers. I think you need to take the recommended minimum tank sizes with a grain of salt and take the whole tank stock list into consideration.

Now I'm not trying to be mean just trying to help prevent a potential problem for you, and maybe provide some other things to think about when considering your stock list. I think if you put a ruler up to your tank and imagined 3 fish 10" long and several inches thick at their adult sizes you might see how it might be crowded (especially when one fish has big huge venomous spines on it) and how much food they will need to consume and how much waste they'll be producing on a daily basis and how much oxygen they'll need to consume compared to smaller fish who also have a minimum recommended tank size about the same as those triggers.

I hope that helps. I'm sure people have kept tanks similar to this successfully for some period of time, but you just have to be prepared for the challenges it will bring whether that's changing the fish out when they get too big or having to do lots of large water changes to keep nitrates under control or whatever. Just trying to raise some issues for you to consider.

ok i understand. radiattas are a dwarf lionfish actually. but yes they do have venemous spines. triggers: how fast DO they grow? just wondering because that could also play a facter for me. the max size is 10 inches but, how big do they normally get in captivity? im just wondering.
