hi..
green hair algae is common in every reef system ,a lot of threads and articles also tons of questions
and after every question of how to controlling algae i heard WHAT'S ur water parameters okay the water pars is near to perfect ..mmmm>>>okay remove them manually
all i know is every living being need to feed in something to keep living and grow
algae needs phosphate and nitrate and when u said my Po4 & No3 is zero and you still have algae ..i think there's somethin wrong
some says algae take what's need before filtration system does it's work ,,okay So What if we used some chemical media that binding the reactive (“free”) form of the molecule and making it unavailable for biological uptake is it adequate
or it's another useless staff ?????

GHA also requires some illumination.

 

I never have had GHA, but ZI had some cyano on my CC gravel, so I DIY'd a phosphate reactor and after a few weeks, it's gone! MIght work for your GHA, like you say.

& running t5 lights
