What is an OZONIZER for?

    not a very scientific explanation, but here goes

    an Ozonizor is a device that creates saturated oxgyen or O3

    what Ozone does is break down nutrients in the water by a process called oxidization

    the waters ability to reduce nutrients Via oxidization is called ORP (oxidization reduction potential)

    basically if you run an Ozonator you would also need to use an ORP probe and monitor so that you could monitor the tanks ORP and then Ozone is added based on your selected ORP requirements, when the ORP falls, more ozone is added, when it rises, Ozone is then turned off

    it is not a must have for a FOWLR or even a reef set up
