what is coming out of my mushroom?

Hello to all,

picked up some LR and attached to one of the pieces is a mushroom. appears like something is coming out of the center of it. a pinkish red algae looking discharge. Also noticed my Emerald crap nipping at the base where its attched to the rock? normal. and i made sure it has the red joints on elbows so i know it is an emerald.

did you just put hte mushrooms in the tank? if so then its normal i think. mine discharged a white squiggly substance the day i put it in. just keep an eye on it.

 

i put it in about three days ago. its a discharge of pinkish red. and is attached to it. coming from the center. odd and slightly gross

I have had my mushrooms do that and they turned out fine. I think it is cleaning itself out.

Nice looking shroom. I think it will be fine, just cleaning house so to speak.

 

yea it really looks cool. it was a hitchhiker on my LR. can you tell me the make and model of such thing?

 

anyone tell me what kind of mushroom this is. seen pics that somewhat resmple but nothing that really tells me what it is???

 

I saw something similar on my shrooms when I changed my lighting configuration. I think the white coils are digestive filaments, any red gunk might be old zooxanthellae, I've seen my shrooms and a Euphyllia do that as well. It'll probably be fine once it gets used to it's location.
