Been noticing these fine white particles floating on my water. Whenever I touch them or push them into the water they go fly around everywhere. I can't stand a micro bubble and this combo. My water is clear, there's is just particles flying all over and it looks messy. What is this?

Are you by any chance dosing Alk and Ca? If you are make sure to not dose them at the same time. I had "snow" effects in my tank because of it.

No. Not dosing anything. Any other ideas?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
KDtrey5 do you have sponge or floss? Seems like that would remove it.

Is the water level too low in your tank or skimmer and that is creating microbubbles?

Sometimes you can lay a paper towel on the surface and the particulate matter will stick to it.

Did you move power heads around? Have a pistol shrimp?

Your guess is as good as mine. I would, if I were you, run some carbon to make sure it's not something "chemical". it honestly looks like calcium precip to me but you said you weren't dosing anything.

Again do you have a mechanical filter!? +1 on surface agitation could help but that's only masking the problem if you don't have a mechanical filter that catches large suspended particles in your water column
