I noticed this type of green hair algae growing on two of my LR's this morning for some reason my CUC will not touch it. Is it something i need to control?

    Any advise?

Hard to tell without a close up. Might be Bryopsis since your CUC won't touch it. Emerald crabs will eat it though.

If it is Bryopsis then hyper magnesium treatment is advised.

good idea, i think that is the best alternative you can come up with, also i will recomend a old tooth brush, next time your doing a WC take ur brush and scrub that algae, but again i've cleaned my tank before and left no algae for the crabs to eat, in a real environment there will always be SOME algae hanging around, too clean of a tank IMO is not natural

but ya, emeralds are peaceful, hardworking, and much better than using chemicals to fight algae
