I just almost self destruct at this term :) It just makes no sense to me. Can someone elaborate what a moonlight does? It is just sunlight, but is it a different part of the spectrum or something?

haha no, moonlight is referring to an led of either white or blue light just to put some light on your tank at night. It is for ascetic reasons mostly but supposably might help some corals mate as they would normally do so at night time in nature. moon light is just sunlight reflected. the leds create a low tint of light so you can see the tank and its inhabitants at night without turning on the main lights or shining a flashlight on them and stressing everything in it out. no specific wattage is necessary as it doesn't make a difference.

I honestly think its a waste of time to add a so called moon light in hopes it will improve the functioning of the aquarium system .. It really won't I like them for a little light at night serves two purposes in that it allows the fish to see a bit and less chances of them becoming startled and jumping and it lights the whole room enough so that I could see to get a head shot on any idiot that would enter my area during the night and try to clear the hall , it just looks kind of cool :) Now thats why I use one ..

9mm is too small for tangster. down south, its only above 12 gauge for shotguns, and .408 for rifles, .45 for pistols..............

I have seen pics and read posts were people have elaborite setups to mimic the dayly cycle of the sun/moon fases as far as controling things like moon phases 1/4/,1/2,3/4 and full, but unless you have more money then sence I would just use a side table lamp to light the roomand tank after your nornal tank lighting hours.( I think tangster likes them as he likes to give any intruders a sporting chance) LOL:rifle::uzi:
