What is my first SPS?

That kinda looks like Acropora chesterfieldensis Corals of the World Factsheet and images - Acropora chesterfieldensis


It looks to be a wild colony too. You will want to be generous with the water flow. If the middle of the colony doesn't get good flow then you might see some STN.

 

Yeah its not a frag. It must be a wild colony. It is currently right in the un obstructed path of my MP10. Pretty much the best flow I can give it.

I have been looking and there is some areas of white at the base in the centre? Is this STN?

 

if you see the tissue pealing away then yes, If it is faded in color then just bleaching. Either way if you don't think you can get enough flow or light to these areas then i would frag it or cut it up into manageable pieces. They will do better in the long run and if the colony does start to peal away you could still save something if it is divided.

 

Its not peeling away or anything like that, its just faded so it must be bleaching.

I have no experience in fragging anything at all.

I might be able to frag it abit and start trading some people .
