    I would go with the order I recommended. FWIW, a wavemaker isn't even necessary. However, if want one, I suggest you add it before any more livestock so you will have less that need to reacclimate themselves once they're accustomed to your tank as is. :)

    +1 to Mr Bill, I'd do what he said!;) H

    Although maybe not on the doubling up of flow.; 2 1600 gph's should be fine for a 55g

    i could but you're asking for help and getting it. IMO it's best to provide as much info as possible when asking so those helping can provide the best info possible without requiring them to research on your behalf.
