not sure what part you're referring to...

the brown thing on the end is the living quarters, so to speak. I've seen these attached to glass before and you can see the little worm hanging out in there.

The blue thing? That looks like someone had this thing in substrate that was blue before and it just picked up the blue pieces along w/everything else it sticks to??? Not sure though... maybe an arrow would help?

EDIT: sorry, I missed where you said "blue chunk". So ignore the first part of what I said ;)

Oh cool...do you think I should try to remove it from fd and place on rock?

"Val" is doing fine....it has pecked at the crocea...so keeping a close eye on.

I would leave it be where it is at.. More than likely your FD has turned it into it's Tube and may damage the FD if you do try and remove it... GIve the Sponge time if that's realy what it is, it will slowly under the right condtions grow and be happy.. And be a more Bold statement in your tank.. ANd if not .. oh well....

That's good your Val is doin fine... lil pecking i can say is noral to test whats around it.. but hope the clam doesn't become on the Val's menu..

    Like the norm...

    Best Of Luck...
