    ChemiClean works great. ChemiPure just helps polish water, as it is a type of carbon and other stuff.

    couple questions..... one is how long has the tank been running? and two is you said your levels were within perameters..... what are they.... are your phosphates at 0? are your silicates at 0? nitrates at 0? I believe, correct me if I'm wrong guys, that these are the biggest contributors to algaes and they all should be at 0.... not just in the safe zone or within perameters.

    You are correct. BUT, he has cyano bacteria which isn't an algae at all. So, to be honest, doesn't matter what his parameters are. Cyano forms in almost all marine aquariums and is just part of the cycle. More circulation or the two above products I mentioed will do the trick.
