What is the best coral camera??

    ive been using a canon rebel xs with efs 18-55mm lens, to do close ups i screw on some diopters, works pretty well

    I use a Nikon S8000 point and shoot, but it doesn't get very good macro shots. Fortunately, it has a high resolution (14 MP, I think), so I can just get a decently focused shot and crop out what I don't want without losing quality. That's what I did for the zoa pic in that other thread.

    Any of the automatic point and shoot cameras will be bad at taking aquarium photos. If you notice at most of the really nice pics are taken with Nikons. In general any camera that you have control of the focus will take very good pics.

    the rebel xs is about 700$ and is well worthit. what price range were u interested in? almost any new SLR should be good.

    I use a canon t1i and I love it! My son broke my macro lens so I'm stuck using the stock 18-55mm

    My price range is pretty small in the camera world. About $200 would be the max. I want something that is good quality and still worth it!

    I have a Canon T2i with a 100mm f/2.8 L Macro lens with 580EXII flash that'll be used when I get to having corals.
