I am looking to get 3 damzels out of my tank.

Not interested in making a trap. I would rather just purchase a really good one.

Any suggestions on which one and where to buy it?

Best chance of capturing them is at night after the lights have been off for awhile. Or try placing some food at the surface of your tank and stand close with a net, and try to scoop them up that way!

I have not tried the night time method but i have tried the food at surface method.

    It just isn't working.

The LFS is saying the hook method.

Online I am reading that some traps work even the bottle trap.

With a 180 and around 200+ lbs of live rock its been a pain.

I picked up one at Premium Aquatic for about $32 and it works great.

I feed directly from the net. Whenever the fish see the net they swim right to it and even in it to get food. Mine are so used to it that I could easily remove any of them. So you may want to start feeding with the net and when they get used to it just scoop um up. I started doing this for that exact reason, removing the damsels after cycling....

check around at a couple different LFS...I borrowed one from one of mine. I had a fish in my tank that ABSOLUTELY loved eating my brain...so I placed the brain inside the trap and had fishing line attached and tied to my lights so that he would get used to it, and when he swam in there to take a hunk out of it I slammed door down!
