what is the best way to use???

    So I have ordered my kents nitrate sponge. It will be used in my aquaclear filter in a media bag. Is it better to place the nitrate sponge on top of carbon media or vice versa? I only ask because in these filters, the spoonge went in first and then the carbon so I wasn't sure if there was a certain way to use both the carbon and sponge.

    I dont think it really matters. They are both doing different things to your water so as long as you got some flow going through it i think its ok. JMO

    shouldn't matter as Marc suggested. Just make sure you use altlle at a time and replace it fairly frequently as that is the best way to use it and get the most out of the effects of the nitrate sponge and the carbon!
    And yes, it is very important to place it in a high water flow area again as Marc stated!
