Do you know the pro / cons of an internal pump vs external pump? I havent been sure on what to look for or anything.

I am trying to get a return for under $100... the cheaper the better... i know though you get what you pay for.. so out of those would u reccomend internal or external and what would get me the most bang for my buck.. on a budget of course 8)

if you have never seen a eheim i would suggest you look at one in the box... you will see why they cost a little more.. they are one of the best submersible pumps out their ..
look at deltec ... one of the leading skimmers out their ... and they used eheims for years.. why .... because they were built like a tank and ran forever...
the 1260 is a good choice...

one of the big things that people like about external pumps is heat transfer to tanks...

i have also ran mag 7s and they are a nice pump... as well. just a little louder than i like

Do you think that 600gph is enough return like 5 feet up with a bend or 2? I don't really know what people use commonly for 90gals. I have a 40g now and a 300gph rio going like 4 feet up with four 90degree bends haha thats terrible.

personally i wouldnt be too concerned with using a 1200 gph pump on a 90, by time you lose gph for the head your probably going to be looking at around 900 gph which will give you 10x turnover through the sump, then add more powerheads in the display for more flow and surface movement and you should be good. I used to run a sedra 12000 which puts out 1200gph on a 75 gal for my return pump and didnt have any issues. Idont think I would go much more than that though.

I run a pan world 100px on my 90 and it rocks my tank. Perfect for the size and quiet as well.
