I think I just saw one on a rock in my tank! Its on a rock with an SPS on it.

Are they really bad and what is the best/safest way to get rid of it fast?

What do they do that is so bad?

Do they multiply fast too or do I have some time to figure out a way to get rid of it?

    Thanks!

I have gotten rid of 2 of them. I used fresh squeezed lemon juice. just use a small syringe, and shoot it hard right into the mouth. It will literally explode. Never to be seen again.

They multiply quickly and they are bad because they will sting and kill corals.

Any of the commercial aiptasia killers work well: aiptasia-x, joe's juice, etc.

You can also cover them in kalk paste. I have heard injecting them with lemon juice or boiling water works as well.

Whatever you do, do not attempt manual removal. It will only make them spread.

wait...so you squirt the lemon juice on them while they are in the tank? doesnt the lemon juice hurt other things in the tank?

Or do I take the rock out first then do it?

I prefer to take the rock out and do it in a little container, but I have done it both ways. It only takes a small squirt. Did not effect anything.

So you just squirt it on the thing right?....or do I need the needle part to inject it with lemon juice?

I am sorry--I did not specify. You dont need a needle. Just go to the Pharmacy (Like in Kroger) and they will give you a syringe for free. (They may look at you funny). Then just aim it right into the center, and FIRE!
