Just wanted to reiterate that "fast growing" can definitely become a curse, with coralline, algae, corals, anything that grows too fast can become a problem, even if it's pretty. :)

I tend to avoid fast growing corals unless they're of the sps variety. I've burned way too much gsp, xenia and anthellia with kalk paste than I care to remember.

My GSP used to grow like a weed under cheap Odyssea 175w bulbs. Barely grow under good bulbs 250W SPS bluelife...Give them more light and close to the top and it stops growing or really slows down anyway.. Your mileage may vary.

I have a trumpet coral that has grown from 3 heads when I got it to over 50 in a little over a year. I feed it three times a week with small bits of cut up shrimp, and fish. I fragged off 18 heads of it and still have a huge colony left.
