    Hi all...

    What is the hardest part of reefkeeping?

    For me on my last tank it was mostly having the time to do regular maintenance. And overstocking!

    What about you?


    (FYI - I am swamped at work at the moment. Hope to have more time to hang out next week.)

    Although it's not something I have to do very often, I find that dealing with algae is the biggest PITA. Takes no time for it to grow, can take months for it to go away. Stupid algae!!

    WOW, um..... ALL THE ABOVE!! Probably in that order too. I hate cycling, it always take longer than you think. Glass algea is always a pain, you have to clean the glass every other day or so. I guess maintenance is not that big of a problem, most tanks stabilze and then it becomes easy. Not over stocking is the big one for me. I want everything!!! I guess that is why everyone has a million corals, lol, you can cram them in almost every corner of the tank!! The expence is a tuffy too. Once you get everything its not bad, but getting all the rock, sand, skimmer, sump, pumps, lights, ect... It adds up fast!!

    Gonna have to be the not overstocking for me. I often find myself dragged uncontrollably into the LFS as I happen to be driving by. Once in there it is very hard not to come away with some new something.;D

    Heh, this is a good one. Well for me...its being away from my tank! Being at college...even if I am not that far from home its tough. I need to buy new bulbs for my tank and suction cups for my powerheads. Any news on the magnetic ones yet? $$$ still high? I think I am going to visit my tank tomarrow hah...no classes.
