i know there is always argueing on this site about tank size and overstocking issues and what not. i have attempted to save us the anger by posting the tang minimum tank size thread but many people bagan to argue with that. which is understandable as who knows it its reliable. does anyone have any solid reliable info about fish tank size?

I think this is just a thread that will start an argument. There is no one tank size for a tang. There are literally hundreds of species. For example, a young Naso will do fine in a 125, but a fully grown one needs upwards of 200 IMO. I think we will be seeing quite a few IMOs with this thread :p

This hobby is based on your own opinion and experience, IMO I wouldnt bother with threads like this because they just cause arguements and there are already some websites that provide stocking and tank size info such as Liveaquaria with IMO is pretty accurate.

i am not trying to create an argument, i am trying to create a reliable list of tank sizes as a guideline for new aquarists, like i said in my other thread i am trying to do this to help, i do not appreciate you trying to make me look bad in starting this thread

well as you can see from many beginners that put tangs in much too small tanks many dont take the time to research a fish before they put it in their tank

If they are not willing to do the research on the web then they probably won't follow advice here! I know I do. but sadly its not the case for everyone.
