    From what I have read about feather dusters in general is...
    They don't live long in aquariums (about a year) and they like the new tank syndrome best, it's when they multiply the most. They live off of phytoplankton and will shead their heads and grow new ones.

    I had them all over the place, before my tank crashed. They were even down in the sump! More the better.

    good stuff. i have reds, zebras, white, orange, etc. spreads like wildfire.
