What is this Coral?

    I got this coral on a combo rock but I have no idea what it is?

    Looks like A green star polyp with out the green

    The polyps are actually growing out of that stem. The stem is part of the coral.

    Star polyps do encrust anything that will support them. It looks like it could be encrusting. The polyps definitely look somewhat like star polyps. Having said that all of polyps look alike. I think you have a great formation be it some coral that someone else will identify or the star polyps.

    I don't know if it helps but when the polyps close, they actually go into that stem. That stem is not completely hard yet not like a soft coral. They do look like star polyps the strait stem forming is what is throwing me.
