    A little hitchhiker that came on my liverock! I know its some kind of starfish, but is he bad?? Hes got 6 legs!

    Btw You guys are all jerks!! How do you all get such nice close ups of stuff in your tank!!! (jk about the jerks part ;D;D)

    Edit: Vast majority are harmless algae grazers, it maybe film algae or coralline. Some however do eat zoanthids and sps, but I do not believe in removing them unless you witness them eating a coral or their population begins to explode.

    It is very difficult to be exact to the type based on coloration and number of legs. They split (lateral fission) frequently and the number of legs varies greatly based on that means of reproduction.

    Darn am to slow... Like the other's posted above.. lol..

    I have few in my tank and only show at night on the glass or rock eating algae..

    On a other note interesting rock you have very kewl....

    Up to you if you wanna remove it

    Ive got a bunch of them in my cube with no ill effect. So you are good. Just helpful detritus feeders in most cases.
