I have this white root looking stuff in my sump. I believe that they may be very small feather dusters but I am not sure. If this is what they are should I remove them or leave them alone. Any help would be appreciated.

tube worms...hard shelled, they do x fast and will grow everywhere! in pumps included just dont let it get out of hand and you be good..there good to have.

by everywhere i meant everywhere were the worms are growing at in the tank (in that section of the filter/tank)

there fine. just clean ur pumps (if n e are in the same area as the worms) they only seem to grow in a certain spot are rarely migrate from there..mine grow in the skimmer and sump style filter (rsm 130, stock filter). they seems to grow in the darker areas only/filter

Thanks. They do only seem to grow in the areas of my sump that do not get very much light. They do not seem to be harming anything so I guess that I will let them be and just keep my pumps clean.
